MARTHA O. ADCOCK Pitts Grove, Salem, NJ dated 1833 Martha's large graphic New Jersey sampler is inscribed: Martha O. Adcock's work done July/ the 28 AD 1832 Pitts Grove/ Salem County. The highly developed flowering vine border surrounds birds, butterflies, flowers, trees, pineapples, and a centered cat. Martha (c.1809-1864) was the daughter of Isaac Adcock and Martha Ogden of Pitts Grove. In 1833 she married Jonathan DuBois and they had three sons.
