Jane Elliott Antique needlework sampler Chester County, PA 1845 Jane was born Sept. 1, 1829 one of nine children born to Joseph C. Elliott (1803-?) and Margaret Sturgis (1803-?). At age 16 she worked this graphic sampler with a center house, fenced front yard, sheep, and profuse flowering border. It retains the original frame, ribbon, and early glass.
