AGNES LAURE Scotland dated 1833 Agnes worked this beautiful and classic Scottish sampler at age 11 in 1833. This visually pleasing sampler emphasizes a graphic symmetry with a large central house enhanced with a highly developed front gate, fence, yard flanked with trees, birds, and vases of flowers. The sampler is surrounded with a flowering vine border and an original red velvet ribbon.
