(On Glass) WROUGHT BY NANCY FISHER AT CANTON AGED 13 Y. 1809. This beautifully embroidered and painted memorial was stitched by Nancy Fisher (1792 - 1820) to commemorate her mother Susanna. The face and the background were professionally painted. Nancy was the third of five children of Elijah Fisher (1765 - 1813) and Susanna Hixon (1768 - 1799).
