Mary Lang and Jane Lang Needlework Sampler Scottish c.1800 This large extremely complex sampler features alphabets, 12 crowns each with two sets of initials, verses, flowering bands and scattered motifs, and a very opulent house and gardens at the bottom. Judging from the borders, and the inscriptions, it appears that this sampler was worked in two separate sections by two sisters and joined together.
