Elizabeth worked this Adam & Eve sampler at age 10, in the year 1800, while attending school in Portsmouth, NH. It is inscribed: Elizabeth Tredick is my/ name and with my needle/ I wrought the same age 10.

Elizabeth Tredick (1790-1815) was born to Henry and Margaret Tredic, she married George Kennard. Henry was a merchant and fisherman in Portsmouth and owned several properties on the water front.
