Hannah Haws Needlework Sampler Chester County, PA c. 1826 Hannah worked this stunning Chester County, PA sampler as a young girl in school. She included the names of numerous family members, probably grandparents, parents, and siblings. The sampler retains its frame and remarkable multi layered ribbon border. Hannah W. Haws was born in 1816 in Chester County, PA and never married. The 1880 censes indicates Hannah at age 64 was living in Iowa with her brother Hemphill, who is included on the sampler, and his wife.
