MOSES IN THE BULRUSHES and PHARAOH'S DAUGHTER
This beautiful silk embroidery depicting Pharaoh's daughter and her bathing attendants discovering baby Moses
in the bulrushes, is an exceptional example featuring many characteristics found on other Patten school embroideries:
a raised-work eagle stitched in silver metallic thread holding a swaged garland with sequined bow knots in the
upper corners, and a central oval picture surrounded with gold sequins flanked with bearded ears of wheat.
